To attract complimentary arts and cultural events and partnerships to raise the profile of the region and festival and extend opportunities for lgbtiqa+ artists and local community around Priscilla themes - highlighting diversity and inclusion
Grow creative partnerships between metropolitan and regional individuals and communities around Priscilla themes
To be relevant to regional audience and LGBTIQA+ community and introduce queer performance to a new audience
Creation of ground breaking cross connection between tradition and innovation
Produce environmentally sustainably practices at the event and foster development across other regional events. Foster stewardship in our care for country both in the operations of the event and the distinct natural environment in which it is held.
Mission
To increase and stimulate innovative and new productions for works around Priscilla themes thru investment in festival specific shows.
Present a unique annual program that explores Priscilla themes which aims to increase audience experience, knowledge and participation leaving all involved with an overarching positive experience
Create unique location experiences that showcase landscape of the region and its First Nation peoples
Raise the profile of the region and LGBTIQA+ culture for audience and artists
Raise the visibility of lgbtiqa+ artists in regional areas, celebrating their diversity while remaining inclusive for regional subcultures that have never experienced lgbtiqa+ events.
Remain point of connection for lgbtiqa+ community, local first nation and regional groups
Maintain The Palace Hotel as home to the Broken Heel Festival – as a safe and welcoming space to LGBTIQA+ community throughout the year – which includes the ongoing display of the transrainbow flag on the premises.
Contribute financial donation to LGBTIQA+ group each year as selected by BHF board & Glambassadors.
Encourage a regenerative approach to our local environment thru an environmental project offered to festival goers each year.
