Marcia Hines is an Australian musical treasure with a career spanning five decades. She has released 26 albums, sold 2.94 million copies and garnered countless chart-topping singles and multi-platinum records globally.
A popular judge on the Australian Idol panel from 2003 to 2009 and returning now for 2004 to the new season on the Seven Network. Marcia was inducted to the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007 and in 2009 received the Order of Australia (AM) for her contribution and services to the Australian entertainment industry.
In 2023 Marcia released ‘Still Shining – the 50th Anniversary Collection’, a 22-song celebration of her amazing journey since arriving in Australia for the musical Hair and followed that up with ‘The Gospel According to Marcia’, an album of gospel songs that Marcia grew up singing in the churches of Boston.
Marcia returned to the theatre in January 2024 to star in the national tour of Grease the Musical and, following this tour, in August 2024, she will return to her beloved concert stages to again present the ‘Still Shining’ two and a half hour greatest hits concert at venues across Australia.
At Broken Heel Festival 2024, Marcia Hines will be performing her Disco Inferno show on the Friday night.
